Sacred Tirtha Retreat Mount Kailash with Parvati Ma
SACRED TIRTHA RETREAT
MOUNT KAILASH
WITH PARVATI MA
1ST JUNE TO 21ST JUNE
High Altitude. High Energy. High Vibration.
Join Parvati Ma for three weeks of magnificent retreat in Tibet to the Holy Mount Kailash. According to Hinduism, Lord Shiva resides on top of the mountain where He sits in a state of meditation with His wife Parvati. The mountain is believed to be the physical expression of Mount Meru, the ultimate destination of souls & the spiritual centre of the world. Like Mount Kailash, Lake Mansarovar is an abode of purity & bathing in the lake or drinking its waters is believed to cleanse the karma of a hundred lifetimes. The area is a place of pilgrimage for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains & Bon Po.
The retreat will begin in Kathmandu where we will anchor the energy for the retreat, merging with Shakti Durga & connecting with our Soul Family in Shanti Mission. It is here during our four-day stay at The Hotel Shankar that we will establish our intention- to develop the meridian of energy between Mount Kailash & Guru Rock in Cooranbong. We will also be bringing more of the truth of our Soul-selves into our lives. The energy will be strong so we will be scheduling some energetic practices to do before we leave Australia.
From Kathmandu we will begin our journey in jeeps to Tibet- taking 6 days to arrive at Lake Mansarovar, then after an overnight stay continuing on to Mount Kailash. The pilgrimage (Parikrama) for the mountain is a four-day circumambulation on foot or horseback at high altitudes of up to 5,600 metres and preparation for the retreat is essential.
Preparation would include physical training, this training or guidance for same, is being offered by Shanti Dharma (an experienced mountain climber in the Himalayas). Contact details are: 0410 655 337 or sandigal@hotmail.com
While on Yatra, all accommodations are basic lodges. If lodges are not vacant, porters will pitch tents. Overnight at Lake Mansarovar and while on Parikrama will be in tents. All the lodges are basic accommodation with no shower facilities and common bathrooms. Shower houses are available in Saga and Darchen for a cost of Yuan 15-20.
Requirements
· Doctor’s certificate attesting to your physical capabilities for the journey. Please note you will be travelling in remote areas in altitude up to 19,500 feet (5943 metres). Some recommended tests include: blood pressure, haemoglobin, blood sugar, stress test, ECG, and any other tests according to your particular health status. A high altitude medicine DIAMOX is necessary for everyone to take while on journey to Kailash – 250 milligram pill twice daily. Please consult with your doctor for any side effects if taken with your current prescribed medication that you plan to bring along with you
· Special travel insurance as set out by the tour operators. It is recommended you insure yourself against sickness, emergency rescue (including possible helicopter evacuation), accident hospitalization, trip cancellation etc
This will be an amazing retreat as well as a wonderful adventure. We would love you to join us.
