About Sacred Ceremony

Sacred ceremonies are devotional practices that utilise the elements, mantra and certain physical actions as a form of active meditation. Fire, water and flower ceremonies are visually beautiful, energetically uplifting and spiritually nourishing. They can open the heart and bring joy. We feel a lovely sense of togetherness when we share in the gentle journey of a sacred ceremony and it can be a great boost to our feelings of well being and happiness.

Why use Sacred Ceremonies?

When we engage with ritual and ceremony we connect with our spirit and soul, enabling a lovely shift to occur. Our ceremonies are either to do with the Archangels, or fire and water ceremonies generally accompanied by Vedic mantras which are a treat to be part of.

The Spiritual Significance of a Sacred Ceremony

When we engage in sacred ceremonies we intend that the whole of nature benefits from our actions and intentions. It really seems as though nature is interacting with the sacredness, with birds and native animals frequently drawing near our mantras and ceremonies.

Benefits of Sponsoring a Ceremony

Sponsoring ceremonies is a great way to ask for Divine blessings upon your prayers, to earn grace and positive karma and to serve those you love and all of creation. You don’t need to attend a ceremony in order to sponsor; you will receive the grace no matter where you are in the world. Sponsorships can be made with the intention of blessing your own personal prayers, or with the intention of blessing loved ones, communities or projects. The spiritual energy pours itself into your intention and is a potent way of creating new circumstances in your life.

How it Supports Spiritual Growth

Those who regularly engage in ceremonies find that they are happier and more at peace, and feel closer to the Infinite. There is an underlying sense of belonging and this subtle energy pervades our lives for good.

Full Moon Fire Ceremony

The energy of full moon is a particularly auspicious time to perform sacred ceremony. We gather together bringing fruit and food that is blessed and shared. We use mantra and meditation, the elements and a sacred intention. Just add love, and the ceremony is sublime.

We learned the full moon ceremony from Sri Sakthi Amma, an exquisite spiritual teacher in South India. This traditional form of fire ceremony utilises the four elements and calls forth the energy of the goddess, as Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. They respectively bring blessings of courage and strength, fortune and wisdom. Together they are the vastness of the Universal Goddess Narayani.

Everyone is welcome to attend our ceremonies, and if you have not been to one before we are really happy to help you understand the meaning of the beautiful ritual.

The full moon occurs every 28 days. We run the ceremonies as near as practicable to the full moon so that the ceremony is complete before the actual full moon vests.

For those who want to maximise the blessings of the full moon and to really add grace to their prayer, fire ceremonies can be sponsored. This means that financial assistance flows so we can keep the ceremonies open to all, and that the costs are all covered. The cost for full moon ceremony each month is $180.

The Full Moon Fire Ceremonies are offered in person at the Harmony Centre and online via Shakti Durga Ceremony Facebook group.

Lakshmi Fire Ceremony

In this Ceremony, we call on the Divine Consciousness of Lakshmi, the Supreme Goddess who calls forth harmony, blessings of prosperity, love and beauty. When we chant the beej sounds of the Mantras, we merge with the Fields of Consciousness that help us remember and illuminate the Blueprint of our Souls.

The Lakshmi Fire Ceremony is run weekly on Tuesday mornings at the Harmony Centre.

Shivaratri – Monthly Ceremony

Shivaratri – Monthly Ceremony

Each month just before the moon goes completely black is a time for us to celebrate Shiva, the aspect of the Divine as the dissolver of form, or destroyer of darkness. Aligning with the 28 day cycle of the moon, we focus upon the release of that which we are carrying as burdensome or heavy, and the attainment of the freedom of the illumined soul.

Everyone is welcome to attend our ceremonies. For those who want to go deeper the ceremonies can be sponsored. At $54 per person, this contributes to the overall running costs of ceremonies and our centre, and sponsors are given blessed water from the ceremony to help them in their life. It can be sprayed into the energy field to help alleviate stuck energy, or consumed for gentle healing. It can also be sprayed around the home to lift the general level of vibration, clearing old stale energy and cultivating peace.

Shivaratri Monthly Ceremony is run monthly at the Harmony Centre.
