Honouring the Lineage
Within our spiritual lineage, Guru Poornima is a special time to honour the blessings flowing through the great masters who have carried these teachings through the generations, including Mahavatar Babaji and the lineage of realised beings who continue to guide and support humanity's awakening.
For many in our community, Guru Poornima is also an opportunity to express gratitude for the teachings and guidance shared by Shakti Durga, whose work has helped thousands of people deepen their spiritual connection, heal, grow and discover greater peace and purpose in their lives.

While Guru Poornima forms the heart of Shakti Durga's Carrying Sacred Fire retreat, the celebrations on Wednesday 29 July are being opened to the wider community through a special day of spiritual gathering, ceremony and devotion through Shanti Mission.
Whether you are a long-time student or simply feel called to experience the blessings of Guru Poornima for the first time, you are warmly welcome.
Attendance at the retreat is not required to participate in this special celebration day.

Minimum donation of $20 AUD per person to assist with venue and morning tea costs.
Participants attending in person are kindly asked to bring their own lunch. A cup of vegetarian soup will also be available for lunch for an additional cost of $5 on the day.
Online Participation
Join us from anywhere in the world via livestream with a minimum donation of $2 AUD.
The Spirit of Dakshina
In many wisdom traditions, Guru Poornima is a time when students and seekers offer dakshina, a heartfelt gift given in gratitude for the teachings, blessings and spiritual nourishment they have received.
Dakshina is not a payment or transaction. It is an acknowledgement of value and a way of participating in the sacred flow of giving and receiving.
Many traditions teach that what we place into the world through generosity, gratitude and service returns to us multiplied in ways both seen and unseen. Through giving, we participate in the continuation of the teachings and help create the conditions for blessings to flow forward to others and back into our own lives.
While minimum donations help us cover the practical costs of offering this event, we invite you to contribute an amount that reflects the value of the experience for you and your circumstances.
All proceeds from this event support the charitable work of Shanti Mission.
What is Sponsorship?
Attending the event in person or online places one in a field of general grace and upliftment.
Sponsoring, however, is like the Divine turning to you directly — offering profound understanding, compassion, and blessings that touch the spirit and soul in ways attuned perfectly to your own karma and dharma.
Throughout Guru Poornima week, the daily Vedic fires and Archangelic Ceremonies will be offered as part of the retreat and are available for sponsorship by the wider community.

About Guru Poornima Week Sponsorship Opportunities
The daily Vedic Fire Ceremonies will be shared via Facebook Livestream at www.facebook.com/shantimissioninternational and can also be accessed via Shanti Mission Mighty Network Community.
The Archangelic Ceremonies are also available for sponsorship by the wider community. These ceremonies are held within the retreat space and therefore are not open for public attendance or broadcast (excluding Wed, 29 July). Those who sponsor still receive the blessings and intentions held within the ceremony, even if they are not physically present.
