What is Sacred Ceremony?
Commune with your higher souls and ignite your spirit.
Sacred ceremonies are devotional practices that utilise the elements, mantra and certain physical actions as a form of active meditation. Fire, water and flower ceremonies are visually beautiful, energetically uplifting and spiritually nourishing. They can open the heart and bring joy. We feel a lovely sense of togetherness when we share in the gentle journey of a sacred ceremony and it can be a great boost to our feelings of well being and happiness.

The Spiritual Significance of a Sacred Ceremony
When we engage in sacred ceremonies we intend that the whole of nature benefits from our actions and intentions. It really seems as though nature is interacting with the sacredness, with birds and native animals frequently drawing near our mantras and ceremonies. Those who regularly engage in ceremonies find that they are happier and more at peace, and feel closer to the Infinite. There is an underlying sense of belonging and this subtle energy pervades our lives for good.
Benefits of Sponsoring a Ceremony
Sponsoring ceremonies is a great way to ask for Divine blessings upon your prayers, to earn grace and positive karma and to serve those you love and all of creation. You don’t need to attend a ceremony in order to sponsor, you will receive the grace no matter where you are in the world. Sponsorships can be made with the intention of blessing your own personal prayers, or with the intention of blessing loved ones, communities or projects. The spiritual energy pours itself into your intention and is a potent way of creating new circumstances in your life.
Types of Ceremonies

Full Moon Fire Ceremony
The energy of a full moon is a particularly auspicious time to perform a sacred ceremony. We gather together bringing fruit and food that is blessed and shared. We use mantra and meditation, the elements and a sacred intention. Just add love, and the ceremony is sublime.
We learned about the full moon ceremony from Sri Sakthi Amma, an exquisite spiritual teacher in South India. This traditional form of fire ceremony utilises the four elements and calls forth the energy of the goddess, as Durga, Lakshmi and Saraswati. They bring respectively blessings of courage and strength, fortune and wisdom. Together they are the vastness of the Universal Goddess Narayani.
Everyone is welcome to attend our ceremonies, and if you have not been to one before we are really happy to help you understand the meaning of the beautiful ritual. The full moon occurs every 28 days. We run the ceremonies as near as practicable to the full moon so that the ceremony is complete before the actual full moon vests.
For those who want to maximise the blessings of the full moon and to really add grace to their prayer, fire pujas can be sponsored. This means that financial assistance flows so we can keep the pujas open to all, and that the costs are all covered.
The Full Moon Fire Ceremonies are offered in person at the Harmony Centre and online via Shakti Durga Ceremony Facebook group.
